Lance Carpenter

Lance Carpenter grew up on a cattle farm in Ozark, Arkansas and taught himself to play guitar in college at Arkansas Tech University where he played football and was a member of the 1999 Gulf South Conference Championship team. in 2007, while working in Portland, Maine, Lance got the opportunity to performing his original songs on stage for the first time at "The Stadium". After barely attracting the attention of anyone, Lance was determined to write songs that would draw in an entire room. After a quick google search for "songwriting" he discovered the Nashville Songwriters Association (NSAI).  Lance made his first trip to Nashville in February 2008 to attend NASI Song Camp 101. It was on that trip, while sitting in the audience watching a round at Douglas Corner, when Lance realized "that is what I want to do for the rest of my life".

‚ÄčLance knew how difficult it would be and that becoming an overnight sensation could take 10 years or more. However, in 3 short years, while building a catalog of songs and figuring out who he is as a writer, Lance has been able to build great relationships.  He has had the honor of collaborating with some of the best writers and artists in the business and has received top honors in songwriting contests such as the American Songwriters Magazine lyric contest, Billboard Songwriting Contest, and the NSAI/CMT contest.

‚ÄčLance  released  his self-titled debut album in 2013 and  has had songs recordied by Due West and Curb/Sidewalk Records recording artist Dylan Scott. He currently writes for Parallel Entertainment in Nashville, TN.
