Craig Mikkel Stensaas is a singer/songwriter local to the north-central region of Kansas. He has been writing and performing for nine years, cultivating a “grass roots” following of sorts throughout the Midwest, extending into the surrounding states of Colorado, Nebraska, Oklahoma, and even down into Texas. For nearly a decade now, he has continued to crank out his own style of original Country & Midwest Rock, releasing several self-recorded EP’s and albums to his “underground” audience.
Craig has performed acoustically for several music festivals (including two years at Country Stampede); played community fundraisers, smaller venues, and the bar circuit, sharing the stage with such distinguished local artists as Reckless Rebellion, Jared Daniels Band, The Callahan Band, and Lucas Maddy. More recently, he has become the front-man for the band Craig Stensaas & The Dangerous Kind, a group comprised completely of Kansas natives, with the goal of performing primarily original material. Their first single “402” has been released independently, and played on several local Kansas radio stations, as well as a few online stations out of Oklahoma and Texas.
