Edgy, honest and passionate, LiveWire’s unique sound blends elements of working man’s Country and rootsy Southern Rock. Themes of the common man resound in its firebrand music with songs about real life: good times, hard times, poverty, love, loss, family, spirituality, death and redemption. LiveWire’s music has found success at radio, both in the U.S. and in Europe, and its videos have received airplay on CMT Pure, The Country Network, The Nashville Network and Yallwire, among other outlets. Their reputation as a top-shelf live performing act has been honed by years of opening for a “Who’s Who” of Country stars, including Toby Keith, LeAnn Rimes, Mark Chesnutt, Kix Brooks and Texas/Red Dirt acts such as Casey Donahew Band and Kyle Park, among others. Major media outlets including Billboard, the Texas Music Chart, Maverick, and MusicRow Magazine have all touted their talents.
LiveWire has been bringing crowds to their feet for over a decade. In its earliest incarnation the band performed weekends at VFWs and local clubs around Oklahoma, Kansas, Missouri and Arkansas. Soon, the lure of the open road called and LiveWire began traveling from coast-to-coast, performing in club venues in almost every state across America. The experience shaped it into one of the best live bands on the circuit, but the band members dreamed of something bigger. Determined to break out, the group focused its attention on developing the sound that would take it to a higher level.
LiveWire began to get a glimpse of the next phase of its career when it earned a coveted slot as national finalists in the 2009 Colgate Country Showdown performing to a national television audience from the stage of the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville. The milestone spurred the band to write, record release a self-titled EP in 2011 which spawned the debut single, “Tater Fed,” a stirring backwoods rocker that gained the attention of critics, radio and fans.
On the heels of that exposure, LiveWire signed with Way Out West Records, a powerhouse indie label with offices in Oklahoma and Nashville helmed by industry veteran Clif Doyal. Shortly after LiveWire’s hometown of Joplin, Mo. was devastated by an EF-5 tornado in the spring of 2011 the band released a single and video for “Miracle Of The Human Spirit,” with proceeds going to benefit the rebuilding efforts. LiveWire released its national debut album LIVIN’ in 2012 which has earned the band widespread critical acclaim and produced the singles, “Lies” and the Texas/Red Dirt hit “Whiskey Sunday.” After years of hard work and perseverance, long-held dreams are coming into sharper focus and LiveWire is now firmly established as a recording band with the live concert show to back it up.
